Daniel Robertson assists charter schools with nonprofit corporate legal compliance, board governance, and facilities development, especially through the Proposition 39 process. He also trains charter school boards in the Brown Act. Daniel is barred in Oregon as well as California. Prior to joining Young, Minney & Corr, LLP, Daniel gained litigation experience in a Sacramento law firm where he represented private, religious schools throughout California. He also participated in legal externships with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in Los Angeles and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in Honolulu.
Daniel graduated magna cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law with a Juris Doctorate and a Master’s Degree in Dispute Resolution. During his time in law school, Daniel was an associate editor on the Pepperdine Law Review and won the award for Best Student Article. He also participated in the Pepperdine Special Education Advocacy Clinic, which represented special education students under the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act. Additionally, he mediated over twenty cases in Los Angeles County courts through the Straus Institute Mediation Clinic. Daniel previously earned a B.A. with honors from the University of California Santa Barbara where he majored in analytical philosophy.
