Kathleen (Katie) Ebert’s primary practice areas focus on charter litigation, special education, and student rights. She has experience representing charter schools and private agencies in various matters including, writs of mandate, commercial and business, personal injury, and employment matters. Katie utilizes her background in education law and civil litigation to focus on such matters as administrative hearings, state and federal litigation, and appellate work.
Katie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and a minor in English, with honors, from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where she was awarded First Honors in Trial Advocacy. During law school, Katie gained practical experience as a law clerk in the Education Advocacy Program at the Disability Rights Legal Center in Los Angeles. Through her work in the center advocating for students with disabilities, she was honored by Loyola Law School with the Jenine Meltzer Memorial Scholarship.
