Rachael Tillman is an experienced advocate and civil litigator managing complex litigation for and against public and private entities. Rachael has handled general administrative and regulatory hearings and trials in state and federal court and the Court of Appeal. Rachael currently focuses her practice on the representation of charter schools and the defense of claims filed against charter schools including, but not limited to violations of state and federal civil rights laws, personal injury, contract disputes, employment and labor law issues etc. Prior to joining Young, Minney & Corr LLP, Rachael worked as a litigator in San Francisco.
Rachael Tillman graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. She received her Juris Doctorate, with specialized certification in litigation, from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco. Rachael was honored with the Witkin Award for her excellence in legal writing and research and served as a mock trial student team member for the American Association of Justice. She excelled as a Civil Procedure Teaching Assistant as well as a Moot Board Student Mentor; Rachael has helped coach the winning mock trial team competing in the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law San Francisco Regional Student Advocacy Competition. Her studies at the Universidad de Sevilla in Spain allowed Rachael to become proficient in Spanish. While in law school, Rachael worked in-house at Sony Pictures Television negotiating employment contracts and ensuring compliance with union requirements.
