Jason’s primary areas of practice are charter development, employment and labor, student rights and discipline, and special education. Prior to joining Young, Minney & Corr, LLP, Jason served as deputy legislative counsel, working with the California legislature on matters relating to elementary, secondary, and postsecondary education. Jason also clerked for the Third District Court of Appeal.
Prior to pursuing a career in law, Jason was a teacher and administrator in both charter and district schools, serving on the founding faculty of the Oakland School for the Arts and as the founding director of the Delta Academy for the Performing Arts.
Jason received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and holds a Masters of Education. Jason obtained his Juris Doctorate from McGeorge School of Law where he graduated with great distinction and as a member of Order of the Coif. At McGeorge, Jason also served as Editor-in-Chief of the McGeorge Law Review and participated in the Legislative and Public Policy Clinic.
