Rebecca’s primary practice areas include assisting schools in compliance with special education, Section 504, and the student suspension and expulsion process. Rebecca consistently emphasizes the importance of negotiation and maintaining relationships in her practice, working towards creative solutions whenever possible.

Prior to joining Young, Minney & Corr LLP Rebecca worked at Lanterman Regional Center’s Special Education Legal Clinic as a fellow and grant recipient from the Department of Developmental Services. Her focus was on reducing disparity in access of services through family education and direct advocacy. She also worked with the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley (Legal Advocates of Children and Youth), assisting families navigate special education and school discipline, with a focus on juvenile justice and dependency-involved youth. Rebecca has also worked with the California Special Needs Law Group on Due Process matters. She has presented at a national conference on the application of new case law to students with significant needs and has given presentations in English and Spanish about special education law and best practices to various audiences.
