EVENING WORKSHOP SERIES: BROWN ACT AND CONFLICT OF INTEREST LAWS

2019 Evening Workshop Series: Brown Act and Conflict of Interest Laws

Protect Your Board and Administrators: Essential Steps to Comply with New Attorney General Opinion

The California Attorney General issued an opinion on December 26 indicating that charter schools and their boards must comply with California conflict of interest laws, open meeting laws, and the Public Records Act.

YMC is offering a two-hour evening training for charter school board members and administrators to ensure compliance with these critical public transparency laws. This workshop is critical to avoiding legal liability, threats of revocation and non-renewal, audits, and in some cases criminal investigations.

The training will include real-life examples of common pitfalls that charter school board members and administrators face, and our speakers will share pragmatic guidance and best practices. For more information and to register for these workshops, click here.
