Kendra Tovey’s primary practice areas focus on defense of charter schools in special education, student discipline, and labor and employment law matters. Prior to joining Young, Minney & Corr, LLP, Kendra worked at a law firm representing public school districts including K-12 institutions and community colleges.
Prior to pursuing a legal career, Kendra was an elementary school teacher at a public school. She also worked at the University of San Diego School of Law Education and Disability Legal Clinic, advocating for low-income students with special needs. While employed at the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program Education Law Project, Kendra advocated for foster youth with special needs.
